Chapter 2-Protect
Valen looked at the phone number, that he held in his hand. It was written in flourished handwriting, and the paper was yellowing with the age of 10 years. Valen closed his eyes and tried to see his mother, but the only thing he can remember of her is her tinkling laughter and a beautiful pair of kind, innocent brown eyes. Valen swallowed nervously and gently pushed the number into the phone. He placed the receiver to his ear and listened to it ring. Once. Twice. In the middle of the third ring he heard the phone click as some one answered the phone.
"Hello?" A woman's light, happy, and girlish voice says on the other line.
"H-hello?" Valen's voice caught as a tear slides down his face, “Is this Shellian Creepe?" He instantly wanted to kick himself. He didn't know if she had remarried or, if she hadn't, kept the name.
"Yes, this is. May I ask who I am speaking to?" Valen had forgotten, she left when he was four, his voice had gotten deeper,he didn't exactly sound like an adorable four year old. She wouldn't recognize him.
"I'm Valen. Valen Creepe, I'm," Valen took a deep breath," I'm your son. And Hallow is hurt and we all need our mom. Me, Eestair, Kris and especially Hallow, We all need you, Mom," Valen was crying quietly now.
"Oh, Cupid, oh my baby boy," Shellian sounded far away as if she was remembering all of them, all of her children. "I am on my way. Tell James....tell him. I am on my way." The phone clicked as she hung up. Valen listened to the silence on the other side of the phone. He heard a whimper from under the table; he knelt down, and saw Moonlight. He crawled under the table and stroked her fur.
"It's okay Moonlight," Valen whispered soothingly,"Mommy's coming to help us." Valen kissed Moonlight's head, she barked and licked his face. "Come on Moonlight." He climbed out from under the table and grabbed her leash from the old wooden hat rack. The two year old puppy wagged her tail as he clipped her leash on her black collar with the hand sewn silver crescent moon made by Valen.
Valen walked into the living room, greeted by the startling sight of his father crouched down on the ground rocking back and forth staring at bloodied broken Hallow. Valen walked over to his dad, gently pulling Moonlight behind him, she was staring intensely at Hallow. He bent over his dad whispering, "Don't worry Dad, help is on the way." Valen kissed his dad on the head and ruffled his curly chestnut colored hair.
James looked up at Valen, as a small child would, his eyes wide and filled to the brim with fear, his voice sounded so small, "Valen, Do you really think Hallow will be okay?" James then started to bit his nails as his eyes unfocused and he stared to nowhere, he began rocking again. Valen knew his dad was in shock.
"I know he will be," Valen whispered. Valen walked towards a flood window. He looked towards the full moon; it was all aglow in an Halloween orange hue with out a cloud blocking his view. His finely tuned eyes saw a small black dot speed away from the house into the woods. "I will hunt you down and kill you, because you are the beast who did this to Hallow, you hurt my brother so I will murder you,” Valen mumbled heatedly, anger flashing in his icy eyes. He looked at his reflection in the large black window and saw his blond hair was a mess and his eyeliner from the day before was smeared down his face from crying. He reached up and tried to smooth out his hair. "I'm acting like a freaking girl," He grumbled under his breath. In the window he saw the red and blue lights from the ambulance and police cars through the darkness of the night. Valen tiptoed to Hallow and kissed his cheek. "Be strong big brother. I lov-" Valen’s voice cracked as another tear slid down his face. Valen hung his head as he began to cry again. Valen watched as the tears fall onto the table mixing with a pool of blood. Moonlight licked his hand as he sobbed.
He felt a hand pull his face up gently. He looked up to see Hallow's smiling eyes, "What’s-wrong-little-bro?" He whispered in between deep, throaty gasps.
Valen started to speak hastily, "Hallow people are coming to--" Hallow interrupted him.
"Valen.....you.....have....to be ........strong...for dad and Eestar and Kris....There is strenght in you.....I have seen it ...This.... will......help...you...if you...need it." Hallow whispered painfully as he slowly and hesitantly slid his hand into Valen's.Valen slipped something large into Valen's small hand and squished his hand closed. Hallow coughed once more and fell into unconsciousness.
The ambulance personnel busted into the room, they were pushing the gurney inside. A Female officer spoke softly to James and walked him to the ambulance after throwing a blanket over his shoulders. "Excuse us, miss," the younger paramedic said to Valen. Valen looked up at first not realizing who the paramedic was talking to. "I'm sorry for the confusion young man....But we need you to move." The man sputtered out. Valen nodded and Moonlight lead him outside. Valen sat outside the window and looked inside. He saw the two paramedics lifting Hallow and setting him down gently on the gurney. "What the heck could do this much damage to such a big and strong young man??" The younger man said.
"It’s a full moon, maybe a werewolf did it," The older man chuckled as he slammed the ambulance door behind him. Valen watched as the loud white and red vehicle drove away taking Hallow and his Father. Valen watched the van until it's flashing lights disappeared behind the hills and trees.
"Now the strong are gone only the weak remain. I have to be the strong one now, Dad always said 'When the monsters go bump in the night that's when we bump back, just a lot harder,'" Valen whispered, "What do you think I should do Moonlight??"
Moonlight cocked her head to the side and whimpered. In Valen's head he heard Moonlight's voice say, 'Protect your Family, Master Valen.' Valen, unknown to his dad, can communicate with animals. Valen hadn't told anyone about his special talent. Valen subconsciously knew he'd be a target if anyone besides the animals knew, He knew many people evil and good longed for his talent.
"Of course, that's right. Come on girl." Valen walked with Moonlight into the house and came face to face with the officer from before.

today?
Today has been an awesome day...:). For my classes today we watched history shows. Two were on the conquest of the Americas, one was on the nightmare at Jamestown and the final one was on pearl harbor.
I did a math class in between two videos..
I started to work on re-drawing some old comics( from when I started drawing), and I got to talk with a friend over facebook and play X-box with him today, it was so fun :). I really suck at call of duty though lol and here it is one in the morning and I'm here telling everyone about a good day, :), I think it is good anyway.

The story of the creepes Chapter 1
Chapter 1- Attack
James awoke to the sound of a bloodcurdling scream. He squinted to the clock. Through the blurred red digits he could read that the clock said 3 in the morning. He heard another shriek closer to the house, it sounded like a teenager's, possibly male. He grabbed his glasses off the wooden nightstand next to him. Then he jumped out of bed and ran out of his room, pulling his glasses onto his face. He was running for the children's room. His four children were the world to him, ever since his wife divorced him and left their children for some cheap bar singer.
He jumped over the puppy in the hall way and stumbled up the stairs. When he finally slid to a stop in the children's room, he slowly looked over the darken room. He looked to his youngest and only daughter, Eestair, her dark hair spread out on the pillow. She was holding tight to a worn blue and pink stuffed bunny. She wasn't even one year old when her mom left her, now she is 10 and will need a motherly figure soon to help her how her dad couldn't.
He then looked at Kris. Kris's silver-blond hair reflected in the pale blue moonlight. His blankets were kicked to the end of his bed. Kris unlike his older brothers remembers absolutely nothing about his mother; he was only 3 when his mother left. Now he was the repairman of the house, he fixed everything and learned all from his dad.
James looked to his second oldest and handsomest son, Valen, his ex-wife called Valen her cupid. His shining mess of long wavy blond hair was in his face, Valen was snoring softly. James noticed he forgot to remove his eyeliner before he went to bed, it was smeared down his face as if he was crying. There was another tear sliding down his face as he whispered, "Run Hallow, Run." Valen rolled to his side and kicked off the blankets, still whispering to his dreams.
James heard the dog walk into the room and jump on Valen's bed. She bit the blanket and covered him. After she had made sure he was completely covered she crawled under the blanket and squirmed her way under his arm to where he was hugging her. Soon after she had began to sleep, Valen's night terrors had calmed as did his whispers.
James, having heard Valen's fear in his whispered, shaken cries, looked to where Hallow, his oldest boy, normally slept. He was shocked when Hallow was gone from his bed. James whispered his son's name over and over. He quietly slid out of the room trying not to wake his other children. He began a hasty search of the house.
He checked the attic where his son liked to gaze at the moon. He then ran into the kitchen to see if Hallow was there, he was not. He ran the entire length of the home and he didn't see a single trace of where his son was. James was getting even more desperate each time he failed; he looked through the entire house and came up empty handed.
James was reaching for the phone to call the police to get a search party for his son, although he had the sneaking suspicion the police wouldn't be able to help. He heard someone faintly tap on the front door. James flew to the door and flipped on the porch light. The yellow light illuminated the ground around the porch. James peek through a window, he gasped at the ever growing pool of a dark red liquid that reflected the yellow light eerily. James pulled open the door and stifled a scream.
On the ground was a blood covered boy. His black hoodie was nothing more than a few rags connected by threads, his purple pajama pants were soaked with the crimson liquid. The boy looked up blood covered his face making him almost unrecognizable. He said, "Oh, hi Dad." It took James a moment to realize that this weak boy that was covered in a thick layer of the boy's own blood was his son, headstrong, over-protective Hallow.
"Hallow!" James shrieked. James knelt to the ground asking, "Who did this to you?"
"Not......Who......What," Hallow murmured before falling out of consciousness.
James shook his son for a moment or two, tears falling down his face. He stroked his son's face mumbling the boy's name once and then lifted him off the ground and carried him inside the house. James laid Hallow on the dining room table, and shouted for Valen.
Valen flew in his wild hair flying behind him, "Yes, Da--Oh no What happened to Hallow?" He whispered in shock when he saw his big brother laid out on the table and in the dim light given off by the light outside, Valen saw only one thing, blood and lots of it. The air was filled with the coppery sent of blood, Valen hated the thought of eating another living creatures flesh,so he was a vegetarian. The sight was nearly too much for the poor boy to handle.
James ignored his son's question, and said "Call a hospital, call 9-1-1, and call," He hesitated for a moment. He took a deep breath and started again, "Call your mother." Valen's ice blue eyes filled with surprise and sorrow with the mentioning of his mother.
Valen nodded, His eyes were brimming with tears of fear, sorrow, and anger at whoever had done this to his brother. On his way to the phone he flipped on a lamp so he could navigate his way through the dog toys left by Moonlight, their white German Shepard-husky mix. As the lamp's soft warm light lit the room up, James realized how serious his son's condition was.
Hallow's normally long slicked back black hair was windblown as if he was riding his four wheeler. James looked at the boy's strong face just like his own and he had his mother's kind brown eyes. Hallow's face now had three long but thin scratches on his forehead to his chin. There were many scratches similar to the ones on his face on his chest and legs, each were pouring out blood. Hallow's right arm had a series of puncture wounds, James stared for a couple minutes. He was stunned when he realized that it was a huge bite wound on his son's arm.
In his bloodied hands Hallow held two things, in one a plank of wood with a rusted nail at the top with coarse brown fur and the crimson liquid on it. In the other a long and thick canine's tooth. In an instance James knew his son was bitten by a werewolf. He slouched and slid down to the ground, when he was there he started to shake and cry.
